Checkpoint Project
For the stand design, emphasis has been placed on the brand visibility, the use of the corporate colours of Cementos la Cruz and a configuration of the space that allows both to attend to passing visitors and to hold meetings with clients. To this end, it was decided to have two cubic spaces, one as a meeting room, the other as a service area and organize the public area of the stand between these two spaces.

The reusable stand 100%
Since the fair only lasts a few days, The aim was to make the stand completely reusable., which is why it has been modulated based on the format established by the Truss Crown pieces. In this way it can be reassembled in future events and modified to adapt it to the needs. On the other hand, by joining its pieces with flanges No qualified personnel required for assembly.
The use of white corrugated polycarbonate sheeting helps to break up the lines and give more complexity to the overall lighting, as well as being a light and resistant material.

The stand assembly is planned in four phases. In the first phase, the carpet is rolled out and the truss structure is assembled. The second phase consists of attaching the polycarbonate panels to the structure using cable ties. In the third phase, the canvas and polystyrene signs are installed and in the fourth phase, the lighting and furniture are installed.
Polycarbonate panels
The polycarbonate panels They close the walls of the stand and combine with the 3D printed elements. The undulations generate interesting shadows when backlit. These panels have the advantage of being resistant, light and waterproof. To join them to the Truss structure, the use of 3D printed plastic parts is proposed.

Printed canvases and letters
For company texts, the use of is proposed custom cut tarps, reinforced and studded with brass eyelets. They are attached to the Truss structure at all ends using black cable ties.
The letters and the brand logo are made of extruded polystyrene lacquered in orange. They are attached to the white panels that serve as a background using double-sided tape, so that they can be stuck and removed several times.
3D printing of concrete
The 3d printing in concrete It is one of the items of the department of R&D of Cementos la Cruz. The visit to the cement factory allowed me to see in real time the operation of the printer and the pieces created so far. Taking into account that the most optimal way For the 3D concrete printer, the cylinder is the one that I designed. I designed some cylindrical pieces that would serve as a counter for the stand. In this way, 3D printed pieces could be incorporated, maintaining a weight of less than 50 kg and a shape that would minimize the possibility of breakage.
Stand assembly
After receiving the award a meeting was held to organize the assembly of the stand. Firstly the Truss structure was commissioned, being the most important element. After this, the company's marketing department met and made some changes to the tarpaulins and the use of the main pavilion. Because of this, it was decided to modify the orientation of the door of said pavilion.
Taking the modifications into account, all the materials were purchased and assembly tests were carried out at the cement plant. Finally, everything was moved to FECONS and the stand was assembled.

The awards ceremony for the competition was held on July 28, 2024 at the Cementos la Cruz headquarters. The three winning projects were exhibited and a meeting was held to coordinate the management of the stand assembly.
