Wallflex Flexible Furniture

From the previous modulation studies, a study of the type pieces of furniture that a hotel room demands. Taking as reference the actual dimensions of said furniture and considering the constructive decision to use 5 cm diameter rods will adapt the same to the grid pattern. Linking this with the measures of being human a catalog of possibilities associated with the space that colonize the furniture.

The development diagrams show the evolutionary process of the piece of furniture. It begins with the silting of the wall with the building elements, and through a process of gradient and filter ends in the final model that integrates the user and responds to their needs of use and employment, maintaining the sculptural and aesthetic character of the conception initial.

The ideal assembly of the furniture proposal takes as a reference the purity and warmth of the nordic furniture, in wood. However, its contemporary architecture and geometry allow it to adapt to different aesthetic configurations that respond and blend in with the architectural style of the space in which our furniture is located.

Given the premise of making the space more flexible and creating a catalyst device of all the necessary furniture in a room we opted for redistributing the space of the room creating different environments and allowing the possibility of combine sleeping with more uses.

By establishing a grid with the possibility of be changing, and leaving aside the proposed model, the surface in plan that our furniture will occupy is smaller and consequently it will give a feeling of greater amplitude and spatial freedom.

The first approach of the user does not foresee any previous use instructions, so its own construction system will be intuitive and will facilitate interaction with the same. The pieces are connected by means of anchor plates with transparent materials (vinyl, methacrylate, polyethylene) so that the silhouette that responds to the elevation of the furniture to be used would be highlighted without destroy the aesthetics of the furniture unit.

Each set of pieces is designed to be functional and mobile on each side of the wall, except for those that have on their other side the bed which are fixed and permanent.
