Rehabilitation of a house in El Palmar, Murcia

The Casa Palmar project consisted of the rehabilitation of a single-family house in El Palmar Murcia. Starting from existing structure. Located in the Huerta de Murcia. The current state of the house is one of prolonged abandonment, so the structure and roof will be maintained, replacing the facade, the stairs and the interior partitions. The rehabilitation focuses on the creation of a double height space to locate the living room while keeping the rest of the open spaces. The building in its original state has a concrete structure and a hipped roof. Being necessary for the project to install the new staircase and drill the slab to create the double height.

A luxury home in El Palmar, Murcia

The kitchen is in an open space that is oriented towards the double height living room and the garden. Having an access to the gallery where the laundry room will be located and a service access to the outside. The rehabilitation of the house in El Palmar allows the slabs to be drilled, while maintaining the beams and the pillars.

The living room is the main space of the project, highlighting the bookshelf that goes up to the upper level, allowing you to see the stairs. The shelf will serve as a separation barrier between the staircase and the living room, albeit in a permeable way.
